Light and Airy Shrimp & Crab Salad

Perfect Summer Salad!

About 6oz sm. Shrimp, detailed deveined (I cooked in SESAME OIL)
Plump 1/2c Crab (I used imitation)
1c Roma Tomatoes, deseeded, diced
1/2c Cucumber
UP TO 1/4c Red Onions, chopped (We love onions)
1T Serrano Peppers, deseeded and minced
1T Cheddar Cheese Brick, cubed TINY
1T Miracle Whip/Spin Blend  (Or, more to taste)
1T Lime Juice
1tsp Rice Vinegar
1T Prepared Wasabi Sauce (Or, more to taste)
Up to 1T slightly packed Green Onions, chopped
1/2tsp Dried Cilantro
1/2tsp Garlic Powder
1/4tsp Sea Salt
1/4tsp Pepper

Cook Shrimp in Sesame Oil. Allow to cool. Mix all together. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Eat as is. In Lettuce Wraps or Spring Rolls (Boil Lettuce few seconds til soft, roll. Serve cold.).

Optional: Add Miracle Whip/Wasabi to desired taste. Optional to season Shrimp while cooking (Salt, Pepper, Cajun). Add more sauce to make a pasta, adding noodles. Endless options.

Tay’s Wasa-Pea Soup (Tay’s Wasabi Split Pea Soup)

With already having 2 other twists on Our Split Pea Soup (Links below)… We added another! Wasabi!

6c Broth (I did 6c Water + 4 Chicken Broth Cubes + 2 Beef Broth Cubes)
2c Water + 2c worth Vegetable Broth Cubes
1/2 – 1 lb. bag Dried Split Peas (I did 1/2pkg. to cut Cal.)
1/2 lb. Turkey Kielbasa/Sausage Link
2 Potatoes, diced
1c Celery
2c Fresh Carrots, sliced
1 lrg. Onion, chopped
1T Jalapeno, minced
1 large Garlic Clove, minced
1/2tsp Black Pepper
1tsp Garlic Powder
1tsp Dried Oregano
1tsp Dried Parsley (1 TBSP if fresh)
1/4tsp Ginger Powder
1.5T Soy Sauce
1/4c Prepared Kikkoman’s Wasabi Sauce (Last hour) + More for serving

Butter Flavor Cooking Spray Crock. Add all, EXCEPT Wasabi Sauce. Cook on low til Peas are done (About 5-8hours). Last 30min.-1hr. add in Wasabi Sauce (I turn my heat to warm at this point). Serve each Bowl with a lil more Wasabi Sauce (Optional).
Notes: Up Wasabi amount, to taste. But, give it time before adding more, as it’ll spread a lil. Wasabi Paste can be used, but, have yet to try. May need to alter Paste amount.

Loaded HEALTHY & BENEFICIAL Tuna & Mandarin Orange Salad with a DEVINE Balsamic Wasabi Dressing

HEALTHY and BENEFICIAL!

1 can Tuna in Water, drained
– 1/4tsp McCormick’s Montreal Steak Seasoning
1/2c Crab (Optional)
3/4c Mandarin Oranges
1-2T of REAL Bacon Bits
1/4c Beet, Grated (These can get messy!)
1c Cucumber, matchstick cut
3/4c Red Onions, sliced thin
Grated Parmesan Cheese (Optional, I forgot)
Lettuce/Spinach to desired amount
Seasoned Texas Croutons

Dressing (Premix):
1.5tsp Kikkoman’s Wasabi Sauce
1.5T Balsamic Vinegar
1/2T Soy Sauce
1/4tsp Sesame Oil
1/4tsp Lemon Juice (100% Fridge Kind)
1/2T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1T Organic Grade B Maple Syrup (Benefits- USE!)
1/16tsp Sea Salt

Drain Tuna. Stir in McCormick’s Montreal Steak Season. Allow to set some and Marinade while prep rest. Premix Sauce, set aside. Cut up Rest (To your desired taste). Toss in Bowl Serve up and drizzle a little Dressing and add a few Croutons. Enjoy!

Wasabi Ranch Spread

On accident, I created this. I thought I was making more Wasabi Orange Pinwheels. But, didn’t realize we devoured all of the Chicken! So, I had to use what we had on hand, trying to think what would be tasty with Wasabi, yet make for a tasty Pinwheel. So, thus this…

2 oz. Fat Free Cream Cheese
1.5 tsp Kikkoman Wasabi Sauce
UP TO 1 tsp WISHBONE Ranch Dressing PKT.
About 1tsp Green Onions (Optional)

Soften Cream Cheese. Mix in Wasabi. Mix in Ranch Seasoning and Scallions.
Use on Bagel Sandwiches. On Pinwheels with Smoked Ham or Turkey, Shredd. Cheese, and Tomatoes. On Chicken Sandwiches. Wraps. With Crab/Fish. Etc. MANY USES!!!

Wasabi Orange Pinwheels

Having a little leftover Orange-TAYstic Chicken, I thought of a GREAT Pinwheel Recipe!

Leftover Orange-TAYstic Chicklets over Rice and Vegis *See notes
Soft Shell Tacos

3 oz. Cream Cheese
2tsp + 1/4tsp Prepared Wasabi Sauce (Kikkoman)
About 2tsp Green Onions, or to taste, minced

Mix Cream Cheese and Wasabi. Stir in Scallions. Spread onto ENTIRE Shell. Add a line of Orange Chicken, then top that line with Rice and Vegis. Roll snug. Wrap in Foil. Fridge for 1 hr. Eat, or, SLIGHTLY Warm and Eat.

*Orange-TAYstic Chicken is an Orange Chicken with Sweet Bell Peppers and Onions, topped over Chicken Broth Rice with Peas and Carrots.

Tay’s Wasabi Orange Legs

Marinade (For About 7 legs):
About 1/2c White Vinegar
About 1T McCormick’s Montreal Steak Seasoning

Now, I eyeball it. I give a good shake of the Montreal to EACH SIDE of Chicken. I throw into a ziploc bag and add in an eyeball amount of vinegar. I mix around. Marinade about 1.5 hours.
CHARCOAL GRILL IS BEST!!! Grill/Cook them suckers. Toss Chicken with Sauce BELOW. Eat!

Tay’s Wasabi Orange Sauce:
1/2c Orange Marmalade
2T Soy Sauce
1/2tsp Sesame Seed Oil
1tsp Wasabi PASTE
1/4tsp McCormick’s Dried Orange Peel
1/4tsp Ginger
1/4tsp Garlic Powder
1/8tsp Sea Salt

PREMAKE Sauce about 1 hr prior. Set aside (I did in room temp.).

Notes: ABOVE WAS SERVED WITH SWEET POTATOES STUFFED WITH CHIPOTLE BLACK BEANS. Sauce can be used for Legs, Wings, Breasts, Sauteed Vegis, even to Cook and throw into Egg Rolls with a Slaw: Sliced Radishes, Onions, Cucumber mixed with a little Sour Cream.

WASSSSSUP-iggies (Marinaded Pork topped with Wasabi N Raspberry Mushrooms N Onions)

Pork Marinade (6hours):
2T Soy Sauce
1tsp Sesame Seed Oil
1/8tsp Ginger Powder
1tsp Chinese 5 Spice
1/16tsp Liquid Hickory Smoke

Wasabi Raspberry Sauce:
1/4c Raspberry Preserve (Fresh Raspberries, smashed, may work*)
1/8tsp Mustard Seed
1/4tsp Mustard Powder
1/4tsp Red Wine Vinegar
2tsp TO 1T Prepared Wasabi SAUCE
1/8tsp Turmeric Powder
1/8tsp Paprika
1/8tsp Sea Salt
1T Sour Cream

Mushrooms, sliced
Onions
Garlic Clove, minced
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Mix Pork Marinade. Brush ALL onto pork chops. Marinade 6 hours.
Mix sauce.
Heat skillet, adding some Extra Virgin Olive Oil or Butter Flavor Cooking Spray. On med.-high heat, once to a sizzle, lay in Chops. Cook about 5 minutes on each side.
In SEPARATE skillet: Sautee Mushrooms, Onions, and Garlic. Mix in Sauce with sauteed vegis, LAST FEW MINUTES. Cook down some.
Lay into Butter Flavor Cooking Sprayed baking dish. Top sauteed vegis over chops. Bake 450 for about 12minutes. Then, fill your belly!
Optional to grill!

wasabiraspberrypork3There was ONE person that slightly liked it better with the glaze brushed on  each side of the chops. And the Mushrooms, Onions, and Garlic, untouched, over the top. So, for that ONE person’s sake, The Directions for that is:
Heat Extra Virgin Olive Oil in skillet. Sear Pork on each side about 5minutes. Sautee Onions, Mushrooms, and Garlic in SEPARATE skillet.
Butter Flavor Cooking Spray Baking Dish. Brush BOTH sides of Pork with Sauce. Lay in baking dish. Top with sauteed vegis. Bake 450 for 12minutes.

Notes: Marinade was enough for 2-3 chops. You can up Wasabi, if like. Tweek to your taste. Endless Options. I was going to use Wasabi Paste, but the store did not have paste, only sauce. So, paste can be used. But use 1/2tsp and work your way up, taste testing!
I have not used fresh raspberries… Not sure how it’ll turn out. Let us know!
