Tay’s Bread Bowl Tacos (Tacos in a Delicious Fried Bowl)

Bowls also great for: Soups, Chilis, Stews!

Taco Meat or Chicken*
Frozen Bread Loaf Dough
Dried Oregano
Cumin
Garlic Powder
Deep Frying Supplies (Oil, Fryer, etc.) 
Toppings:
Canned Refried Beans
Tay’s Guaca-HOLY MOLY! Sauce Recipe USE THIS!!!
Salsa
Shredded Cheese
Shredded Lettuce

We used our leftover Tay’s Crock Pot Sweet n Spicy Chicken Recipe (Any Taco Meat will work).
Bread Bowls: I use freezer Bread Dough. I place in bowl (Earlier in day – To thaw), on a Warmer. Once thawed enough to handle, Sprinkle with Cumin and Oregano, Fold, Sprinkle again, fold… Keep doing til nicely seasoned, WELL! Cover, allowing to rise.
Heat Oil. Break off large piece. I had to improvise with a metal measuring cup. I dipped into oil to oil it (Helps with sticking) spread dough around it. Using tongs, deep fry to shape into a bowl form. Brown both side. Lay onto paper towels. Sprinkle with Garlic Powder.
Top bowls with Refried Beans, Taco Meat, Tay’s Guaca-HOLY MOLY! Sauce, Salsa, Shredded Cheese, Shredded Lettuce. Eat!

HEALTHIER OPTION: Don’t Fry Dough. Season and Bake around Muffin Pan creating bowls, sprinkle cooked Bowls with Garlic Powder.

Country Fried Cow and Mashed Taters (Country Fried Steak N Mashed Potatoes)

2lb. Steak, cut into larger chunks
1/3c + few TBS. Vegetable Oil
In bowl mix:
1c Flour
1/2 tsp Seasonal Salt
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1/4-1/2 tsp Paprika
1T Grated Parmesan Cheese (Store shelf kind)
Beat together:
2 Eggs
1/2c Heavy Whipping Cream
1/8 tsp Sea Salt (Optional)
1 tsp Louisiana Hot Sauce (Optional – I forgot)
SAUCE:
1 can Cream of Chicken
1 Packet Turkey Gravy
1/2c Sour Cream

Mix well the sauce. Set in fridge. Mix flour mixture in one bowl. Beat egg mixture in separate bowl. Toss steak with flour mixture. Pour egg mixture over steak in flour. Give a slight toss. Heat oil on skillet. Brown all sides.
For Tender Fried Steaks (Pictured):
Slightly Butter Flavor Cooking Spray Crockpot. ADD IN SAUCE first. Lay fried steak on top. Leave it be. If stirring is needed, Stir Minimumly! Cook on LOW, or even warm, for 4 hours. I say DO NOT stir often, due to browned batter falling off. It’s a mess if you do. BUT, a delicious mess!!!
OR
Preheat oven 350. Fry in oil til browned. Move to baking dish. Pour sauce over. Bake for 15minutes. Slightly turn. Bake another 10-15 minutes. Or until desired doneness.
OR Crispier(Works for whole steaks, as well):
If you add a lil baking powder and baking soda into the egg mixture for extra crunch, it will turnout too… Fry. Bake at 350, if needed, to desired steak doneness. Heat sauce in pan, top sauce mixture RIGHT BEFORE serving.
Your option on cooking method. All work.
Also, I pour egg batter over, because I think it’s easier than alternate dipping (Flour, egg, then BACK into flour), which I lose most batter on fingers. Especially, working with small pieces. Whole steaks alternate works.

tTt’s Delicious MASHED TATERS
7-10 Potatoes (Reserve juice from cooking potatoes)
1T Parsley
Garlic Powder
3-4T Butter
4-5 Chicken Broth Cubes (For Boiling Potatoes)
1.5c Sour Cream

Boil potatoes in pan with enough water to barely cover potatoes WITH chicken broth cubes. LEAVE THE SKINS ON! Why… Why do yous hate the skins so much? Remove potatoes when tender. RESERVE JUICE. Mash Potatoes, add rest of ingredients PLUS 3/4c water/broth potatoes were cooked in. Mash and stir some more.

Fried Tomaters (Fried Green Tomato Burgers)

Partial Green/ Red Tomatoes (I prefer more red on em, yet firm.), sliced thickish
Turkey Burgers
Velveeta Jalapeno Cheese Slices (Or cheese of choice)
Oil for frying

Sauce:
1 cup Mayonnaise
1 tsp Mustard (Dijon works, too)
1 tsp freshly squeezed Lemon Juice
1 tsp Red Wine Vinegar (Or more lemon juice)
1.5T Louisiana-Style Hot Sauce
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1.5 tsp Capers, roughly chopped
1 scallion, finely chopped (I used 1.5T Onion, minced)
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/8 tsp sea salt
1/2 T Parsley
1/4 tsp Mustard Powder
1/8 tsp Cayenne Powder
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder

Tomato Batter:
1c Flour
1/2c Cornmeal
1/4 Bread Crumbs or Croutons (I use Italian Bread Crumbs)
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
3/4 tsp Cajun Seasoning
1/8 tsp Sea Salt
1/4 tsp Paprika
1/4 tsp Onion
1/4 tsp Pepper
1/2c Heavy Creamer+ 2 Eggs

Premake sauce ahead of time. Place in fridge. Cook burgers, place cheese on top to melt. Mix up batter. Beat egg and creamer in separate bowl. Heat oil on skillet. Place tomatoes in batter, then egg mix, then BACK into batter (Careful not to lose it, I usually don’t flip it. just place batter on top press lightly), then into oil. Fry both sides til nicely browned. Place cooked turkey burgers onto tomatoes. Pour sauce over top. I serve 1 burger on top 1 tomato, with extras on the side to eat. Eat with fork.

Fried Bread Balls

I got this Recipe, as many, from my Mom, actually. Yum!

Frozen bread loaf
Garlic Powder
Pinch of Sea Salt (Optional)

Cover dough and allow to thaw, you can beat down, too. If needed. Heat deep fryer oil. Round off about a spoonful. Drop into fryer, if it sinks then comes up nicely, it’s hot enough. Fry to brown all around. Place onto plate with paper towel. QUICKLY sprinkle with Garlic Powder and a pinch of salt, if desired. My Mom used Garlic Salt instead, with Garlic Powder, I believe.
