Make a 2-3ft wide circle, using wide square wire fencing. Start with bottom, layer few inches of straw around inner wire (Outside circle). Fill center w/ dirt. Repeat til about 4ft tall. Near bottom of tower (Layer1), plant 3 potato seeds (2 if towers diameter is less than 3ft), evenly, around the tower (Planting right through fence & straw, into dirt.) Then go up a foot or so, do another layer, alternating w/first layer seed positioning. (Keep in mind, dirt settles, and you don’t want to overcrowd layers) Repeat to about 3 layers

With Vinyl fencing support.. 2 snow poles. If using small square vinyl-Leave 10-12in space for grabbing lower, ready to pick, potatoes. No need if using larger squared fencing. Cut bottom of burlap open. Place around fence and lower. Plant seeds. Roll up burlap and keep adding dirt as stems show. Lift up bottom of burlap to take potatoes, as needed (I may or may not do that)… I also may put straw along the inside of fence (Outer inside circle) to help keep cooler and moist) For Idea Click Here – For More on this photo and on More of Our Tips, Tricks, and Decor

Indeterminate Potato Tower without extra support. I may just double up on burlap bags. Maybe once in while, as it grows, tie around with twine, to help support. Cut burlap bottom open. Place around poles, creating circle. Plant 3-4 seeds. Once stems show, move up bags add few inches of dirt. For Idea Click Here – For More on this photo and on More of Our Tips, Tricks, and Decor
